That’s right! Today, not only do you get an outfit inspired by the adorable Lily Aldrin on How I Met Your Mother, but you also get a fanmix! Fanmixes, in fandom!speak, are mixed CDs (with cover art) that are based on a character or a couple or a TV show or movie or book.

They’re posted in a very particular way: First, you post smaller images of the front and back cover, linked to larger images, usually. Then you post a link to a Zip file with all the MP3s in it. Then you post the first song, quote some of the lyrics, and include a smaller image (sometimes) that goes with the song. And you repeat until it’s all done. Sometimes you link each individual song to that individual MP3, in case someone only wants certain songs off the mix and doesn’t want the whole thing.

And then you say that comments are love, in order to encourage your readers and downloaders to leave you a reply lauding your creativity in using songs other people wrote and recorded along with images other people photographed to describe your take on a character, relationship or entertainment medium that someone else wrote, produced, filmed, and/or starred in.

Fanmixes are a science, you guys.
