You guys remember that email I got about a Twitter friend’s roommate going to Israel and Palestine for that Nobel Women’s Committee thing. The other day I put together a more casual outfit, linen pants and all, and today I’m back with a more professional outfit. Let’s see what I did here.
Dockers Wide Leg Twill Pants in Fossil ………. $18.74
Sequined Sleeveless Cotton Tee ………. $18.74
Cotton T-Shirt Blazer in Navy ………. $39.99
Brown Peep Toe ………. $11.54
I picked a pair of brown wide-leg trousers, brown but not too brown, and paired them with a comfy, breezy, breathable cotton tee with a nice sccopneck. I then selected a navy blue blazer, because navy works very well with brown and neutrals in general, and then finally had to finish it off with these brown peep toes. They are not at all my first choice, but when you have only $22 available to spend on shoes, give or take a few cents, your options are surprisingly limited. Whodathunkit?
Personally, I would have gone with something with a rounded toe and a stacked heel, as stacked heels like the ones on these pumps are better with wide leg pants. Whatever you do, don’t go with stilettos with wide-leg pants. I know it’s done often, but it just looks dumb. Stacked heels are much better. Pointed toe works well, too, because it makes the legs look longer, so if you’re not big on rounded toes, go with that.
And there we have a more formal outfit that’s perfectly suitable for this excursion to Israel and Palestine.
