So normally, every day, I take the train home with the LawSkoolBFF. Since law skool started, actually, 1.5 years ago. However, sometimes he is a turd, and he doesn’t show up or whatever. So I take the train home by myself.
And people try to talk to me, you guys.
:-|
Do I LOOK like a healthy, well-adjusted person that it’s okay for you to start a conversation with?
No. NO I DO NOT!
I have a point with this, I swear.
If you’ll scroll down (if you’re THAT impatient) you’ll see that I picked a shirt with a crazy ruffled neck. It was interesting. I liked it. Maybe it would have gone better with a pair of flattering brown pants? Whatever, I’m already in a committed relationship with this outfit; it stays.
Anyway, so this lady sitting near me on the train was wearing a ruffled blouse. It looked really interesting, and I guess she caught me staring at it, because she was like, $15.
And I was like, qua?
And she was like, $15. Sale at Nordstrom’s. Can I shop or what?
And I had to give her props for that. I also mentioned that I didn’t own that many ruffly things, because I was kind of weird about having ruffles close to my neck. It made me feel like there were creepy-crawly things there, and I’m very sensitive about things brushing my neck like that. Sometimes, even my hair will tickle my neck and I’ll bust out a karate chop because I think someone’s trying to molest me.
No one’s ever been trying to molest me, thank goodness.
Anyway, the lady was like, aw, you have to wear ruffles sometime, girl, you’re petite and you can pull it off, and I was like DON’T YOU EVER TELL ME WHAT TO DO and then she looked at me like I was crazy but, puh, was I the one telling random people on the train what they had to do?
No. NO I WAS NOT!

So today, I included a ruffled shirt.
Watercolor Skirt in Vanilla Cream ………. $39.95
Ruffle Neck Button Front Shirt ………. $24.99
Mary Janes in Brown ………. $15
Square Bangle ………. $12
Watercolor skirts are fun, no? I like this one. It’s pretty. I went with a skirt that matched the pale beige and has crazy ruffles. Aren’t they interesting? I don’t know, I think you guys could rock this. I really, really think you could. If I were wearing this shirt, I’d tie my hair up into a high, sleek ponytail, and keep my jewelry minimal, like earrings worn close to the lobe. (Not danglies by any means!)
I added a pair of brown Mary Janes and a square bangle. Fun!
C’mon, you guys, live a little. Wear crazy ruffles! The lady on the train said it was cool. Trust her, she’s got this.
She’s got this.
