The Bargain Babe must be super into bracelets as of late, because that’s what we’re looking at today. The great thing about bracelets is that they’re so easy. Like, Lindsay Lohan after someone waves an 8-ball, easy. Sorry. That was blue. I apologize for offending your delicate sensibilities.
Today’s piece is this Siddhartha cuff from Tory Burch. It retails at $250 and BOY, is it pretty.
But the Bargain Babe’s whole schtick is to find similar pieces for an affordable price, so let’s get down to it.
The idea here is simple: cuff bracelet with stones. I’m a big fan of cuff bracelets because they’re big, they’re chunky, they’re instantly noticeable, and as such are a great way to add some color and funk and edge and interest to your outfit.
Oh. My. God.
Let’s not even lie: I fell in love with this bracelet IMMEDIATELY. I don’t care that it’s not even the same color as the one I’m knocking off – LOOK AT IT. It’s gorgeous! All those blues! Look at the intricate beadwork, the organization of the white and blue stones, the coiled design, and just the brilliance of the colors.
Plus, it’s Indian-inspired, which makes me love it even more because, well, duh. Exactly half my clothes and half my jewelry come from India and Pakistan. I can already see this bracelet on my bangle rack, with all my other chunky Indian bracelets (and the rows upon rows of thin bangles).
God, I love this so much. And there are tons more pictures of this bracelet at the site, so click the link to check that out and get a better idea of what this really looks like.
And the entire Etsy store, Circe’s House, is full of gorgeous, gorgeous stuff. Even if you aren’t feeling this bracelet (OMG WHAT’S WRONG WITH YOU), go check out the other goods.
2. Lori’s Shoes: The Sole of Chicago – $26
Here’s another great alternative. It’s a stylish gold cuff with teardrop stones and open spaces in between, and it’s all sparkly. Plus, it’s a little more than 1/10 the cost of the Tory Burch.
Obviously, this is a slight departure from the metal cuff original. But I just loved it. It’s totally something my mother would wear if she didn’t think that chunky bracelets were whorish. Turquoise is her absolute favorite color in the world, and it works very well with her pale skin. The red and turquoise look lovely together, and the cuff itself is an understated neutral color.
Anyway, yeah, just something to think about.
Here’s one with a ton of chunky, oversized stones on it along with smaller crystals and stones. It’s interesting, isn’t it? And it’s certainly eye-catching. There’s one available in purple, too, and personally, I’d lean toward that one if I were to buy one from Chico’s. It’s a really great, vibrant piece, and purple has been growing on me lately.
Trust Forever 21 to have a wide selection of knock-off jewelry. They are actually very good at quickly putting up pieces (clothes, jewelry, bags) that are very similar to designer pieces. Good for them.
This silver cuff has a pretty flower design, and it’s a great alternative to the golden Tory Burch.
Here’s one from Express that’s got a gold base and silver stones arranged in a neat array. Kind of boring, though, in my opinion. Maybe you like it. I have no way of knowing. I can’t read minds.
I wish I could read minds. Then I’d always know who had nomz and wasn’t giving me any.
This one from Bloomingdale’s has the right idea, but it’s a little more understated than the original. It’s a House of Harlow design, and I think that’s Nicole Ritchie’s design label? Whatever.
Here’s one with just three stones – much the same idea. I’m running out of things to say. Can’t you tell? I may be a first class rambler, but even we have our limits.
And there we have it!
