I’ve really been feeling blues lately. (Note: I have not been feeling blue, just feeling blues. Although, whatever, I’m in law school, which has desensitized me when it comes to human emotions, so I could very well be a stone’s throw away from jumping off a building. I don’t know. I’m not a psychic. Or my mom.)
Anyway…Blue sweaters, dark washed blue jeans, blue ballerina flats, blue beaded necklaces – I’ve worn them all this past week. And I happen to look darling in blue, or so I’ve been told, so that’s cool. Here’s a look I put together incorporating different shades of blue and black. Well, there’s only one shade of black. But you know what I mean.
Chambray Shirt Dress ………. $39.50
Cable Knit Cardigan in Blue Ink ………. $21.99
Paisley Canvas Satchel ………. $18.99
Cut Out Pump in Black Polyurethane ………. $19.99
Yay!
I’m kind of in love with this look. It’s so cute!
We’ve got this cute little shirt dress in pale blue and navy (or is that black? I think it’s navy, but I can’t really tell). It’s got pockets and buttons and it’s kind of menswear-ish in style that way.
That’s where the slim cardigan with the vertical cable knit lines and fitted sleeves comes in, to make this a little more girly (even though it’s navy). I found this cute little satchel at Charlotte Russe that incorporates black, white, and a ton of blues, and it’s just interesting and adds some fun to the outfit.
And of course, we’ve got solid black cut out pumps. The ones in the picture are snake-skin, which I didn’t want to do because I liked the normal patent better. On the site, there are two options: black polyurethane and black croc embossed polyurethane. Go with the plain black.
Or, you know, go with the croc. Whatever. I’m not your mother.
Jeez.

I really enjoy reading your blog. Your energy is infectious.
Is there a way you could include an “archive” link? It would make navigating to your older posts much easier.
Thanks
Sure thing, I’ll add the archives back to the sidebar. :) Didn’t think anyone actually used those. LOL.
