I loved “Little Miss Sunshine” for tons of reasons, those reasons mainly being Greg Kinear, Steve Carell, and Alan Arkin. Those three guys got me to rent the DVD the first day it was out on Netflix, and then I discovered a bunch of other reasons to love the flick. If you haven’t watched it, I do recommend it. It’s charming and quirky, and I’ll leave it at that.
Here’s little Olive, the character whose portrayal snagged little Abigail Breslin an Oscar nomination.

And here’s a super(freak) outfit to go along with it.
Style&Co Pants ………. $18.37
Button Front Blouse in New White ………. $17.99
Pleated Vest in Black ………. $23.99
Dot Silk Tie in Red ………. $14.99
Trendy Fashion Headband Sweatband ………. $2.35
Foster Grant Reading Glasses ………. $7.99
Stiffened Felt Top Hat ………. $1.87
Miss Me Kate Moccasin ………. $14.95
The pants are from Macy’s, just your normal dress pants. Then we’ve got the button down and a black pleated vest, and a men’s red tie. The glasses and flats complete the look, and I added two pieces that you can interchange.
You can wear either the red headband if you can’t wear hats to work (I’ve heard of firms/offices having a strict no-hat policy except for religious coverings like yarmulkes), or you can opt for the top hat that you can get at any Jo-Ann Fabrics store.
And there you have your very own Little Miss Sunshine costume!

I’ve been sewing like a mad woman to complete my Carmen Miranda costume, but if it bursts into flames, this is my new costume. You’re a genius.
Carmen Miranda?! Brilliant! :-D You always did have pretty awesome Halloween costumes. And homecoming costumes. Hah.
