The following is a guest post written by Ben, posted by Huma.
My sister Lisa is a med student at UIC in Chicago, and I go to DePaul Law. She was the one that found this blog and wouldn’t shut up about it one day so I checked it out. As more and more BCS posts were done, I kept thinking that there should be a couple for guys, too. So when the guest blogger invitation was put up, I figured I might as well be the first.
I remember from another post somewhere on here (or maybe on Twitter, I can’t remember which one) that Huma likes guys that wear argyle. I was wearing an argyle sweater vest that day, so I figured it was kismet. I’m a casual dresser in general, but I step up my game for law school things. Here’s what I wore to a lunch meeting at the Grand Lux with my alumni mentor two weeks ago when it was freezing in Chicago (by summer standards).

Business Casual Superstar
Polo Ralph Lauren “Luxe Merrick” pants (SALE) ………. $29.40
Club Room Poplin Short Sleeve Dress Shirt in white ………. $14.99
V-Neck Argyle Sweater in heather gray (SALE) ………. $27.25
Club Room Satin Solid Silk Tie (SALE) ………. $24.99
Dress pants are pretty obvious. I was wearing a sweater so I went with a short sleeved shirt, otherwise I’d be sweating bullets. The tie matches the sweater, even though it’s darker, and that’s pretty much it.
This is pretty typical of what I wear during the fall, winter, and spring months in the city.
Benjamin is a 2L at DePaul law school in Chicago. He’s focusing on bankruptcy law and working on his first law review article. In his free time, he likes to play guitar and roller blade. He’s always wanted to learn how to fence, and he loves orange soda, dogs, and paint ball.
