Yowza! I can’t believe we’ve reached twenty BCS entries already! To mark this not-quite-milestone, we have another ensemble from this Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep flick. I absolutely loved the color of the skirt in this still from the movie:

So, naturally, I had to try my hand at putting something like this together. Let’s see what I came up with.
Pintuck Skirt in Emerald ………. $16.99
JUCCA 3-button Blazer in Beige ………. $69
Classic LS Button Down Shirt ………. $9.80
Caparros Assent Satin Slingback Pump in Black ………. $39.95
This is an Inspired-By post, and sometimes these run over my $100 budget. Sorry! But it’s ridiculously hard to find a decent blazer in beige these days. No me gusta. But I think I compensated for it, because those shoes are a steal! Si me gusta!
Anyway, we’ve got that beautiful pop of emerald color in that pintuck skirt. It’s of a decent length, too, so we’re set.
The white oxford (a staple for every wardrobe, duh) tucks right into the skirt and the pretty neutral blazer with the dark buttons is thrown on over that.
I would have liked brown slingbacks better with this outfit, I think, to work with the beige, but black is all-purpose so whatever. Black = Switzerland, after all. And it’s got the cute little jeweled ornament that is just darling.
And there we have Anne Hathaway’s look from “The Devil Wears Prada.”
