One of my readers emailed me a request to duplicate the ensemble Jennifer Aniston wore to some premiere or photocall for Marley & Me, co-starring Owen Wilson. I’m more than happy to take requests – email me – so here we go.
In her email, Alison said that she was a paralegal at a North Carolina law firm and her office’s dress code was business casual – emphasis on the casual. She said that Jennifer Aniston’s look in the picture she attached would be totally acceptable for when she accompanied her boss when he was taking clients to lunch or for drinks in the evening.
Observe:

Cute dress! Let’s get started.
Here’s my knock-off look for Jennifer Aniston’s outfit at this Marley & Me event.
Kiwi Dress ………. $52.99
ASSETS by Sarah Blakely Perfect Tights (black) ………. $12.00
Grey Micro Fiber Peep Toe Bootie Sandal ………. $22.99
Beatriz Polished Bangle Set ………. $4.80
Dual Hoop Earrings ………. $3.80
Yay! This turned out just about perfectly. AND for under $100. I am a genius and you love me, y / y ?
That’s what I thought.
Boy, howdy, do I love ModCloth. Yes, I said boy, howdy. Don’t judge. ModCloth is a fabulous store with the cutest dresses and accessories ever. They’re like a budget Anthropologie (but not too budget), which is one of my favorite stores, meaning that ModCloth is a-okay in my book.
This little kiwi dress is adorable. Lovely print, nice colors, cute cut, good length, decent neckline…long story short, it’s great.
We’ve got our basic black stockings (although from what Alison tells me, bare legs don’t seem to be a problem at her law firm, so, more power to every gal there), so we’re set.
The gray booties are about as good a match as you could hope for when it comes to an inspired-by outfit, so I’m pleased with that. Switch them out for a pair of Mary Janes or normal pumps (or even flats, which I personally try not to do with dresses&tights) and you’ve got a nice, low-key day look.
I took some liberties with the accessories and went with glitzy gold to dress it up a bit, but you could just as easily do silver. Silver would match better, but gold just pops a little more. God, I hate that word in that context. Pop. Ugh.
Anyway, this is what I came up with. There you are, Alison! Happy to help.

Cute!
Thanks! :)
